I want to validate a new apprenticeship programme
QQI’s programme validation process ensures that any new apprenticeship programme proposed by a provider leads to a QQI award that has been fully evaluated and approved before it is offered to learners.
A new apprenticeship programme is either a higher education and training apprenticeship or a non-CAS further education and training apprenticeship programme.
If you are a QQI award provider and your scope of provision includes apprenticeships, you can apply to have an apprenticeship programme validated.
If your scope of provision does not currently include apprenticeships, you will have to apply to QQI to have it extended before seeking validation.
Once approved you can apply to have the apprenticeship programme validated as a HET apprenticeship programme or a non-CAS FET apprenticeship programme.
