Renewal of Memorandum of Understanding between QQI and the Australian Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency
QQI has renewed its memorandum of understanding with TEQSA, the Australian Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency.
The MOU will support continued collaboration and exchange between QQI and TEQSA over the next five years across a number of areas, including academic integrity enhancement and regulation; the regulation and quality assurance of international education; and the quality assurance of transnational education.
The MOU was finalised at the annual dialogue meeting between QQI and TEQSA on 31 July, chaired by TEQSA's Chief Commissioner, Professor Peter Coaldrake, and attended by both organisations' CEOs - Dr Padraig Walsh (QQI) and Dr Mary Russell (TEQSA). The meeting also allowed for the discussion of updates, priorities for the coming year, and areas of common challenge and opportunity.
Engagement under the previous MOU between TEQSA and QQI led to the establishment of the Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN), a consortium of regulators and quality and integrity agencies, which QQI and TEQSA continue to manage jointly.
