Quality in Irish higher education institutions
Academic Integrity, post-pandemic innovation and the growth of Learner Voice were three themes of QQI’s new publications – two reports which synthesize the annual quality reports submitted to QQI by Irish higher education institutions in 2022.
Both reports identify the significant breadth of activities underway to enhance the quality of education and training in this sector, illustrated by a series of engaging case studies drawn from the HEIs. They show a common focus on the achievement of strategic objectives, robust responses to the challenges of academic integrity and a more significant role for the voice of the learner.
Quality in Irish Public Higher Education Institutions observes an emphasis on the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals; progress on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; deepening European and international alliances and collaboration; and digital transformation.
Quality in Irish Private & Independent Education Institutions highlights the strong focus within this sector on the wellbeing of learners during the reporting period and an acceleration of progress in the delivery of blended and online provision.
