Extension: Temporary modifications of rules for awarding in CAS

An extension of the temporary modifications of rules for awarding in Common Awards System (CAS) has been approved until 30 June 2023. The list of impacted CAS awards is available here.

The temporary modifications cater for situations where the Coronavirus pandemic presents a clear risk to the successful achievement of the work-related element of an impacted CAS award.

The modifications will cease being valid from 1 July 2023, which means that the last certification round when the extended pools can be used is June 2023. Please check the 2023 key certification dates here.

QQI would like to invite providers to submit their feedback on the use and impact of these temporary modifications in order to inform future QQI planning and decision making.
