Every course explained - our new Qualifax site

Qualifax – an information resource for students of all ages and backgrounds and their parents, guidance professionals and supporters. The learner facing database Qualifax is now available to all as a free, impartial and comprehensive information resource for students, job seekers, guidance counsellors as well as parents and anyone who is helping an individual with course search. The core elements of the site are the course search and compare facility, the CAO points calculator, subject choice module and an events calendar. It is also mobile friendly so students can access the site using their mobile phones.

While the Qualifax site has been in operation for many years it was long overdue investment and upgrading. Smart new imagery, logo and branding feature on the site with a strong focus on providing course information in a user friendly medium. User guides to support learners and their supporters are also in development.

As learner information is a strategic priority of QQI’s current Statement of Strategy, the review of the Qualifax site and its modernisation have been key actions for QQI to help meet our objectives in this regard and to complement our qualifications information activities such as the Irish Register of Qualifications (IRQ) and the National Framework of Qualifications.

We hope both new and experienced users will find the site attractive and user friendly to help with course information across the tertiary education sector. Feedback is part of the process and we invite feedback from users to improve the user experience.
