Europe is OPEN to YOU - new online guide launched
With 2022 being designated the European Year of Youth #EYY2022, QQI’s Qualifications Information and Learning Opportunities Unit have been busy engaging and providing information to learners.
To celebrate Europe Day 2022 on 9th May, the European Commission Representation in Ireland invited QQI to join in the celebrations at the Eurofound premises in Loughlinstown, Dublin 18. Staff from our Integration Directorate met stakeholders from the Office of the European Commission, MEPs, a number of Ambassadors including the Ukrainian Ambassador along with second level students and provided information on qualifications, Europass and other learner opportunities and tools.
As part of the day's celebrations, the Europe is OPEN to YOU online booklet for young people was launched. Compiled by Euroguidance Ireland and Eurodesk Ireland, QQI contributed and provided updates and information on the NFQ, IRQ, Europass and NARIC Ireland. This booklet is bursting with information for young people interested in learning, studying, training, working or volunteering in Europe.
As a member of an Inter-Agency EU Project Group, and the host of Ireland’s National Europass Centre, QQI plans to further promote this booklet and explore the potential for other collaborations in the coming months.
Europe is OPEN to YOU
Whether you would like to study, work, volunteer or just explore YOUR Europe, this booklet gives you tips, useful websites and contacts so that you can find out more.
