AQR case studies now available
In the interests of transparency around, and public confidence in quality assurance in the Irish tertiary education sector, QQI has now made available a collection of Annual Quality Report (AQR) case studies from providers and institutions for the periods 2019-2020, and 2020-2021.
Completed by public higher education institutions and private providers, AQRs are an important element of QQI’s quality assurance (QA) monitoring and review framework.
These reports provide assurance that the QA policies and procedures implemented in these institutions fulfil their regulatory requirements. They also inform the quality dialogue meetings undertaken by QQI with providers on a regular basis.
Each report serves as
- a single, transparent repository of policies and procedures
- a record of completed, ongoing and anticipated quality enhancement activities
- a means to disseminate good practice throughout the sector
The case studies shared by individual institutions in their AQRs reference specific and topical themes in quality assurance and quality enhancement during the reporting period and explore areas of good practice and innovation across the tertiary education sector.
