The China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and QQI sign Memorandum of Understanding
QQI and CEAIE (the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) - People's Republic of China) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding setting out plans for future cooperation between the two organisations.
CEAIE is China's nationwide not-for-profit organisation conducting international educational exchanges. It works with educational and research institutions, academic bodies, exchange organisations, schools, as well as organisations, enterprises, foundations and individuals in other countries and regions who are engaged in the promotion of educational development and quality assurance on the basis of equality and friendship.
The high-level CEAIE delegation, which visited Ireland on 29 May 2017, consisted of Mr. LIU Limin, President; Mr. SHENG Jianxue, Secretary-General; Ms. FU Bo, Director, Department of International Cooperation; Mr. ZHAI Jinming, Director, Department of Membership Affairs; and Mr. JIN Lei, Deputy Director, Department of International Cooperation. They were accompanied by the first secretary of the Chinese Embassy, Ms Huang. They met with the Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton T.D. and a number of higher education institutions.
The delegation also met with the QQI Executive (Padraig Walsh, Bryan Maguire and Sue Hackett) where the two agencies exchanged presentations of each other's work and missions. CEAIE Secretary General SHENG and QQI Chief Executive Padraig Walsh signed a Memorandum of Understanding setting out plans for future cooperation between the two organisations.
