A tribute to our colleague and friend - Roisín Sweeney

We are profoundly saddened by the death of our colleague Roisín Sweeney who, following a long illness, passed away peacefully on 7 July, at her home in Donegal.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Sweeney family at this very sad time. Roisín was a wonderful colleague and friend who will be greatly missed. She made a significant contribution to education and training in Ireland over a career that spanned nearly three decades.
Roisín will be remembered by a wide network of colleagues and friends for her tremendous honesty, integrity, loyalty, intellect and great wit. She was, most certainly, one of a kind. We all have heavy hearts in QQI at the loss of our dear colleague and friend.
