Launch of new report on quality in ETBs

A sectoral report on the quality assurance arrangements for further education and training (FET) in the education and training boards (ETBs) has been prepared by an independent group of international experts appointed by QQI. This report builds on the inaugural review of quality in the 16 ETBs which took place from March 2021 to May 2022. The sectoral report identifies system-level findings arising from the inaugural review process and provides an independent overview of quality assurance across the ETB sector. 

The sectoral report will be launched by Minister of State Niall Collins TD on Wednesday, 29 March in Killester College. At the event, co-hosted with City of Dublin ETB, the report team will present and discuss their findings with the sector and other key national stakeholders, with special considerations on the ‘next steps’ in the development of quality within the sector.
